In actuality, the 8Ball-Online.com chatrooms are all connected to an IRC network. IRC can seem very complex at first (it did to me), but after a couple times you will get pretty comfortable with it. Logging onto the chatrooms via an alternative IRC client can be better, or worse, for you in various ways. All moderators are required to use an alternative method of logging onto the chats.

This section is not a guide to IRC. In the future installation and set up guides will be available here for each client. Many of the IRC clients already come with IRC tutorials. This section is here so that you can download the most popular client for your computer system.
